United States President Donald Trump said on Saturday (16) that, after the Summit in Alaska with his Russian colleague Vladimir Putin, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, will go to the Oval Hall in Washington on Monday afternoon (18).
“If all goes well, we’ll schedule a meeting with President Putin,” Trump said in a publication on the Social Truth.
“The best way to end the terrible is to go directly to a peace agreement that would end the war, not a mere ceasefire agreement,” he said.
In Washington, next Monday (18), after “long and substantial conversation” with Trump. He also stated that he plans to meet European leaders to discuss the Alaska summit.
“Ukraine reaffirms its willingness to work with the utmost commitment to achieve peace. President Trump reported on his meeting with the Russian leader and the main points of the discussion. It is important that the United States strength impacts the development of the situation,” Zelensky said in a statement on Saturday (16) – the first since the Alaskan meeting, from which he was excluded.
