Brazil is the 3rd country that sent the most tourists to the country this year, behind only the United Kingdom and India
More than 1.1 million Brazilians entered the United States until July this year, according to preliminary data released by the US Doc (Department of Commerce).
According to the, there was an increase of 4.6% in the entrances of Brazilians compared to the same period of the previous year.
In these data, the doc excludes the neighbors Mexico and Canada. Brazil appears behind only the UK and India in a total number of entries in 2025. About 2.2 million British traveled to the US this year, and more than 1.2 million Indians landed in the country.
Only in July – this one that partially coincided with the Club World Cup – just over 160,000 Brazilians entered the United States, up 1.7% over the same month of 2024.
That month, Brazil was behind the United Kingdom (about 380,000 tickets), India (about 187,000), France (about 176,000) and Germany (about 163,000).
In 2025, about 13.9 million people entered the US, an increase of 0.5% compared to the same period last year. Of this total, approximately 2.3 million landed in the country in July.
Among South American countries, Brazil leads in a number of US entries in 2025, followed by Colombia (about 94,000) and Argentina (about 83,000).
The United States has announced new immigration measures in recent weeks.
From September 2, 2025, most non -immigrant visa applicants to the United States – in which they will renew – will need with a consular officer.
The measure was announced by the United States State Department and replaces interview exemption rules published in February 2025.
