Sidney Oliveira leaves jail after 3 days; He is suspected of commanding tax fraud scheme involving São Paulo government tax
Sidney Oliveira, owner of the pharmacy network, was released after having his temporary arrest revoked by the judge on the afternoon of Friday (15.2025). He was in the 8th Police District of São Paulo, in the Belenzinho neighborhood.
The custody hearing took place on Wednesday (13.ago), when the defense and the prosecutor managed. The judge decided to revoke the arrest, allowing the entrepreneur to leave.
On the night of this Friday (15th), Oliveira passed the IML (Forensic Medical Institute) to take the examination of the body of crime.
He on Tuesday (12.ago) during Operation Icarus, which investigates tax frauds and improper compensation of ICMS (Tax on Circulation of Goods and Services) involving the São Paulo Finance Secretariat.
The Public Prosecution Service states that Oliveira is the commander of the scheme, who had the participation of a tax auditor of the Secretariat.
According to investigations, the auditor used a company linked to his own mother to issue fraudulent invoices, authorizing ICMS millionaire reimbursements. Oliveira’s defense denies illegalities.
