The damage caused by the fire of the guesthouse and the restaurant facility in Jánošík’s yard in the village Zázrivá in the district of Dolný Kubín has already increased to about four million euros. TASR informed about it spokeswoman of the Regional Directorate of the Fire and Rescue Corps (HaZZ) in Žilina Maria Pohankova Zaatlanova.
“The accommodation part of the guesthouse started to burn, the fire also spread to the restaurant facility. Firefighters managed to prevent fire to extend to the surrounding wooden buildings, ”added the spokeswoman, saying that there are already investigators of the causes of fires and the regional and district director of HaZZ in Dolný Kubín, who took over the intervention.
Currently, 37 professional firefighters from Dolný Kubín, Žilina, Martin, Terchová and Čadca and the emergency brigade of HaZZ in Žilina intervene on the spot. In addition, ten volunteer fire brigades also intervene.
