SP City Hall breaks contract with veterans of 32 – 16/08/2025 – Panel

The City Hall of terminated cooperation term with the 32 (MMDC) Veteran Society for the management of the 9 de Julho Mirante, in the center of the capital. The decision was made after a meeting between the entity and the Sé Subprefecture, responsible for the region, at a meeting on Wednesday (13).

The contract was valid until December 2026, and there was a forecast for the entity to invest $ 72,000 in three years.

However, management () was dissatisfied with society, which since it took over the space in December 2023, it has not advanced in the construction of a 1932 Constitutionalist Revolution Museum. There are also reports of poor preservation of the site, which suffered with graffiti and became a refuge for drug users.

Now, the city should open a new public call in search of stakeholders.

Sought, the 32 Veteran Society did not speak. Located on the 9 de Julho tunnel, the Mirante was home to the entity’s headquarters.

Before being occupied by the organization, the place under the MASP even hosted a bar and a space events, but was abandoned. It also suffered from wire theft, speakers and kitchen utensils.
