United States President Donald Trump met with Vladimir Putin in Alaska to try to wake up a ceasefire in Ukraine but it was not decided. For João Maria Jonet, this summit was a “classic without history”. The guest Manuel Serrano points out that “avoiding delivering Ukraine is essential”, but in the final speech of the summit, Putin did not seem to want this outcome. “Only the US can press Putin,” says Ana Cavalieri. The next negotiations are long, in a war that remains endless in sight.
