Meeting between US and Russia presidents began around 4:30 pm and ended after about 3 hours without agreement on ceasefire in Ukraine

“We hope that the understanding achieved will open the way to bring peace to Ukraine,” Putin said

The Russian president, classified as “constructive” the summit this Friday (15) with its American counterpart, in Alaska. “Our negotiations developed in a constructive and mutually respectful environment. They were very comprehensive and useful,” Putin told journalists. “We hope that the understanding achieved will open the way to bring peace to Ukraine,” Putin said at a joint press conference with Trump that ended without journalists’ questions were answered.

The meeting ended without agreement, as the US president declared. ‘We agree on many, many points… There is no agreement until there is an agreement. I will call NATO… Of course I will call President Zelensky and tell you about today’s meeting… We really did a great progress.
