United States presidents Donald Trump and Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky will have their first meeting since the new cycle of negotiations to end the war in Ukraine. The meeting will be held next Monday (18) at the White House Oval Hall in Washington.
The invitation was confirmed by Trump on his social networking social network. Zelensky, in turn, stated in the X (former Twitter) that he will travel to the US and considers the meeting a decisive step towards peace. Both pointed out that the next step should be a trilateral meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, with whom.

In an interview with Fox NewsTrump has classified the meeting as productive and said he believed an understanding is close, “but Ukraine needs to agree.” He pointed out that Putin showed openness and “wants to see the agreement made.”

Zelensky confirmed that he had a long conversation with Trump after his meeting with Putin. The Ukrainian stated that the country is willing to negotiate and supported the proposal of a trilateral format.
