The President of the United States, (Republican Party), invited European leaders to attend a meeting at the White House with the Ukrainian (Servant of the People, Center) on Monday (18.ago.2025).
The information was released by Reuters. The US government has not yet confirmed the meeting or the names of the invited presidents. According to the agency, the goal is to discuss the next steps for a ceasefire in Ukraine.
The decision was made after Trump met with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Friday (15th). The Republican stated that the meeting was productive, but said the 2 did not reach an agreement to end the conflict.
After the meeting with Putin, Trump called Zelensky. The president of Ukraine said the country is willing to negotiate peace and praised US efforts to end the war.
