Innsbruck/Bozen/Rome – Italy’s Transport Minister Matteo Salvini (Lega) apparently signaled a little thaw in the Tyrolean transit dispute without taking out a U -turn – at least if it goes to South Tyrol’s governor Arno Kompatscher (SVP). He said the Tyrolean daily newspaper (Saturday edition) that the minister wants to talk about “transit regulations” for the time after deciding on the transit action in Italy against Austria because of the Tyrolean measures.
