One of the leading chiefs in Paraná, the party leader in the Legislative Assembly, Ney Leprevost, defends the maintenance of the alliance with Governor Ratinho Jr. (PSD) in the election for the State Government in 2026.
He thus puts himself against his senator co -religionist, who aims to dispute the position.
“Ratinho makes an innovative, modern, inclusive government in the social area. And União is part, so it is natural that we are associated with the candidate he chooses in the election,” says Leprevost, one of the governor’s main allies in the Assembly.
The deputy of União argues that his party be contemplated with the place of deputy on the plate or one of the two chairs for the Senate. Ratinho, who is a candidate for president of the Republic, has not yet defined who will support his own succession.
For Leprevost, most of the state party defends support to the name nominated by the governor. “This is the feeling based on what I have heard between deputies and mayors,” he says.
The position of the bench leader in the assembly reinforces the crack lived by the party in Paraná. Leprevost himself, who was candidate for mayor of Curitiba last year,
. “There is no hurt or enmity, but there is no approach either,” says the deputy.
According to Leprevost, the senator has the right to claim the candidacy. “It’s democratic, it can take this project to the party convention,” he says.
Behind the scenes, rumors circulate that Moro could leave the party if he cannot apply for the Union, which the senator does not officially confirm.
