US hunts escort Putin plane in Alaska after meeting with Trump

Two United States F-22 fighters escorted Russian President Vladimir Putin’s plane in Alaska on Friday (15) on Russian’s return to Moscow after the meeting with US President Donald Trump. The moment was recorded and released by Kremlin this Saturday (16).

The escort happened when the Iliúchin Il-96 plane delegated flight in Anchorage, where the meeting with to discuss the war in Ukraine and the reconstruction of bilateral ties between the two countries, broken by the conflict started in 2022. Despite the reception ceremony to the Russian leader, which included extending a red carpet, Trump applause and television transmission, the meeting ended without any. Agreement achieved.

In Putin’s return to Moscow, the fighters appeared. According to the video released by Kremlin, four Furtiva F-35 fighters escorted the Russian aircraft out of the American airspace. According to Aviation’s aviation website The Avionist of journalist David Cenciotti, in head of state, the host country is responsible for ensuring safety, and escorts to aircraft are frequent to dissuade and respond potential threats.

The summit between Putin and Trump had already recorded unusual moments, such as Putin’s choice to go with Trump in the US presidential limosine, dispensing with his own vehicle and without the presence of any interpreter.

Hours after the meeting, the Ukrainian army reported that Russia launched 84 attack drones and a ballistic missile against Ukraine. According to the Air Force statement, Russia used an Iskander-M Ballistic missile and 85 Shahed drones, as well as continuing combat on the front.
