Bayunnur is in the region of Mongolia Interior, northern China

Since July, China has faced adverse weather conditions, with more intense rainfall than normal and the monsoon of East Asian stagnant in the north and south of the country. Meteorologists associate the intensity of the situation with climate change. Sudden floods have shifted thousands of people and threaten billions of dollars in economic losses.

Bayannur is recognized as a national grain and oil production base and as a sheep breeding and processing center. The city is located in the region of Mongolia Interior, highlighting its extensive river -cut pastures.

In Beijing, less than 1,000 km from Bayannur, torrential rains in late July caused at least 44 deaths. Precipitation also forced the displacement of more than 70,000 residents of the Chinese capital.

The Chinese government announced in the 2nd week of August 430 million yuans (about $ 323 million) in new disaster assistance financing. The value raises to 5.8 billion yuans (R $ 4.3 billion) the total for April.
