President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva (PT) said he wanted to talk to President Donald Trump to show “true Brazil” and said he wishes that one day the American leader could visit the Dawn Palace in Brasilia.

In a video published on social networks, Lula appears sowing a grape foot while sending messages to Trump. The Brazilian stated that he plants food, “non -violence or hatred”.

“The Brazilian grape, developed by Embrapa, which is one of the largest agricultural technology companies in the world. So, Trump, I wanted to enjoy this Saturday, where I’m planting the grape foot victory here at Alvorada Palace, a place that I hope you can visit, so we can talk and so you know the real Brazil,” said the president.

Lula’s statement takes place on the 50% import tariff in the United States on Brazilian products. The measure came into force on the last day 6.

Trump justified surcharge as a way to combat “unusual and“ extraordinary ”policies and actions of the Brazilian government that, according to him, undermine US companies, the rights of freedom of expression of US citizens, as well as foreign policy and economy.

“I am planting food, not violence or hatred. I hope that one day we can talk, President Trump, for you to learn the quality of the Brazilian people,” said the petista in the video.

For Lula, the real Brazil is the one with “the people who like samba, carnival, football, the United States, China, Russia, Uruguay, Venezuela.”

Recently, Lula announced that he invited Donald Trump through a letter to COP30, which will be held in November in Belém, Pará.

The petista also confirmed that he has the speech ready to speak at the UN General Assembly (United Nations), which will be held on September 23 in New York.

The Brazilian representative is always the first to speak in the Assembly. Lula commented on the expectation of finding Donald Trump.
