Nocturnal ringing: vandals damaged church tower bells in Upper Austria

Asten/Linz-Nocturnal bells have in the parish of Asten-St. Jakob (Linz-Land district) caused excitement this week. Vandals damaged the church tower bells, the pastor filed a complaint, as the police informed on Sunday. According to this, unknown perpetrators probably entered the bell tower over the roof of the church on Saturday night. They squeezed the wooden gate to the bell room and damaged the bell mechanics.
