The US Department of the United States announced on Saturday (16), the suspension of the issuance of visas for citizen in Palestine. “All visitor visas for Gaza individuals are being suspended as we conducted a complete and thorough review of the process and procedures used in recent days to issue a small number of temporary medical-humanitarian visas,” the folder said on his X profile.
The announcement occurs amid increased cases of hunger in Gaza. According to the Associated Press, malnutrition deaths have reached 251 since the beginning of Israeli attacks in October 2023, after Hamas attack on Israeli territory, 11 in the last 24 hours. A young Palestine who had been referred for malnutrition treatment in Italy died on Friday (15).
At the same time, Israel further increases its pressure on the territory, promising to occupy the city of Gaza, announcing the forced displacement of Palestinians to the south of the Enclave and threatening to expel part of the local population from the territory.
