Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky denounced the Russian refusal to accept a ceasefire, which in his assessment “complicates the situation” to achieve peace more than three years after the conflict began. “We see that Russia rejects the numerous appeals for a ceasefire and did not determine when it will stop killing. This complicates the situation,” expressed this Saturday night (16) on social networks.

“If you don’t want to fulfill a simple order to stop bombing, you may need a lot of effort to incite Russia to want to apply something much more important: a peaceful coexistence for decades with your neighbor,” Zelensky added.

US trip

This Saturday, the US President confirmed that he will receive Zelensky on Monday (18) and expressed hope in a Trump-Putin-Zelensky summit. “Potentially millions of lives will be saved,” said Trump.
