Darkness and fatigue threatened the Dutch couple in the Western Tatras: Immediate intervention of rescuers

Mountain rescuers on Sunday (August 17) shortly before dark helped in the Western Tatras stuck 60-year-old Dutch touristwho, together with a 65-year-old husband, went from the mouth of Račkova dolina towards Baranec. This was reported by the Mountain Rescue Service (HZS) on its website.

  • Tourists were helped by localization through the Mountain Rescue Service portal.
  • The married couple exhausted and contacted the emergency line.
  • Rescuers found them on a green hiking trail.

The married couple could not tell the rescuers where they were, but eventually managed to locate them through the HZS portal. “They were located on the green hiking trail between the youngsters and the Little Baranc. Since they had no light with them and they were already exhausted after the long march, they contacted the emergency line,” They were introduced from HZS.

Rescuers of the fire brigade from the Western Tatras left to help them. They found tourists, exhausted but capable walking. “After thermal insulation and energy replenishment, they accompanied them to the off -road vehicle and led to their car to Jánská dolina,” Mountain rescuers delivered that they continued separately.
