The National Secretariat of Public Security is implementing a series of structures along the border of Brazil to combat transnational and environmental crimes.
These actions will take place through the Integrated Centers of Public Security and Environmental Protection (CISPPAS), part of the National Plan for Public Security and Social Defense.
The centers will gather in the same physical space police forces, supervisory bodies, intelligence, environmental protection and civil defense.
A first project already works in Foz do Iguaçu (PR), and will operate as a hub for future units. Similar centers in South Cruzeiro (AC), Cáceres (MT) and Tabatinga (AM) are expected to be installed, as well as an operational command in Brasilia.
the model seeks to expand cooperative governance, intelligence sharing, command and 24 -hour control for prevention and repression of organized crime.
In addition to integrating federal, state, district and municipal agencies, the proposal provides for the participation of international organizations.
The safety agenda is one of the most important for Lula management, as it is a field where the right in general has a speech of greater electoral appeal. The president has sought to adopt measures in the area, such as the constitutional amendment proposal to coordinate security actions.
