Meeting at the White House: Donald Trump leaves Zelensky about Crimea

Seven dead and at least 20 injured is the last swing of the violent Russian attack on the Ukrainian city of Kharkiv. By the late afternoon of Monday, a decisive meeting between Zelensky and Donald Trump is scheduled in Washington, who has already left a warning. The US president says Kiev has to give up the crime and the ambition to join NATO.

Upon arrival in Washington, the Ukrainian President used social networks to leave a first message. The president of Ukraine wrote that it was Russia that started And that, therefore, it must be Russia to put an end to it.

Zelensky’s message arises in response to comments published hours earlier by US homologist Donald Trump, who argued that Kiev must give up the Crimea Peninsula, annexed by Russia for over a decade. He also asked Ukraine to forget the ambition to join the NATO.

For the late afternoon of Monday, is the second meeting at the White House between Trump and Zelensky. The meeting will also be attended by the head of NATO and several European leaders. The group will seek to reinforce the hope left yesterday by the former US National Security Counselor, Jake Sullivan, who asked the US president to open his eyes because Putin was using this time of negotiations to prolong the war.

Only at dawn, Russia again launched attacks against several cities of Ukraine. In the target was an apartment block. Further south, the region of Zaporíjia is being the target of intense bombing. This morning’s attack has made deadly victims and left dozens of people injured.
