Senate will make sabbaths of nominees to regulatory agencies

Infrastructure Commission listens to candidates for Anac, Anatel, Aneel, ANP, ANTT, ANTAQ, ANM and ANSN on Tuesday and 4th Fair

The President of the Senate (PL-RO) Infrastructure Commission) called extraordinary sessions on August 19 and 20 to sabbath the nominees to the country’s main regulatory agencies.

The sessions will be divided into shifts in the morning and afternoon.

AGENDA

On Tuesday (19.ago.2025), at 9am, the nominees to (National Civil Aviation Agency) and (National Telecommunications Agency) will be sabbathed.

In the afternoon, at 2 pm, it will be the turn of the names indicated for the (National Electric Energy Agency) and for the (National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels).

On Wednesday (20), at 9am, CI will hear the nominees to (National Land Transportation Agency) and (National Waterway Transport Agency).

The last turn, at 2 pm, will be dedicated to the names nominated for the (National Mining Agency) and the (National Nuclear Security Authority).

Sabbaths are mandatory steps before voting in the Senate plenary for the approval of the nominees, and aim to evaluate experience, qualification and commitments to the management of agencies.
