The governor of São Paulo, Tarcísio de Freitas (Republicans) criticized, on Monday (17), the electricity concession agreement that the state has with Enel and said that, if it were from the federal government, would not postpone the agreement.
“I am absolutely critical of this contract with Enel, I think it is an extremely bad contract, let’s remember that it is a very old contract that has no good servitude,” he said during an event promoted by the Veja group.
“If I was in the federal government what would I do? First: I would not extend the contract. Second: it would break this concession, which is very large, in at least two concessions and establish a contract that would actually tie investments to easements and how it will be charged over time,” he added.
For the governor, São Paulo “cannot accept the extension of this contract, especially in the situation in which it is.”
The company has been harshly criticized by Tarcisio, Ricardo Nunes ,.
In the same line, Tarcisio pointed out that the best posture a manager must adopt to improve his state, must be to guide agendas without thinking of mandate, giving as an example his own management.
“The manager cannot think of mandate, imagine …. if we were to think of mandate, you would not make a gearous intercity train – Sao Paulo! Why, because I will invest 14 billion reais in something that will be ready in 2029? If the logic were simply politics, it was better to take this money, spray in a lot of place, win a tremendous political capital and not make a structuring project.
“Why am I going to do one that will be ready there in 2030, 2031? Because if we do not, nobody will do and 101 years ago people are waiting,” he continued.
Earlier, at the same event, the Minister of Ports and Airports, Silvio Costa Filho, praised the partnership between the federal government and the state government in the mobilization to build the tunnel.
“There are a lot of people who hope for the fight, the dispute, the confusion. The two went there in Santos, announced and we are expecting to start the bidding process now on September 5,” he said.
Political opponents, Lula and Tarcisio were together at the announcement of the announcement for the tunnel. Their presence in the same ceremony is not very common. Previously, Lula has even criticized Tarcisio during agendas in São Paulo,
The minister agreed and spoke in the same sense as Tarcisio, criticizing the politicians who rule thinking about the next elections.
“Unfortunately the Brazilian political class, mostly, she thinks much more in the next election than in the next generations. That’s why I am a defender who we have in Brazil a five -year term for mayors, governors and presidents of the Republic because regardless of party color, regardless of being right, left, center, you need partnerships and what we are seeing from President Lula,” he concluded.
