The eldest son of the Norwegian Crown Princess Mette-Marit, Marius Borg Höiby, faces serious accusations.
The eldest son of the Norwegian Crown Princess Mette-Marit was accused of several crimes, including rape, said Prosecutor Sturla Henriksbö on Monday. Informed DPA, writes TASR.
These accusations came about a year after the first suspicions of the eldest son of Crown Princess Marius Borg Höiby committed violence. This currently 28-year-old man is now facing a total of 32 allegations, including rape and serious sexual crimes.
The beginning of the trial
According to the prosecutor, his trial is likely to begin in mid -January 2026. He faces a term of imprisonment of up to ten years.
Marius Borg Höiby (28) was born from a relationship with Morten Borg, who had a few years before her marriage with the Norwegian Crown Prince Haakon. Although Höiby is a member of the family, he has no title and does not keep any public office.
Borg Höiby was detained on August 4, 2024 after a quarrel in an apartment in Oslo. Subsequently, he was accused of bodily harm to his girlfriend’s health. During the investigation, the police accused him of other crimes.
