“There is no possibility of retreating a millimeter,” Moraes told the newspaper, who called him “sheriff of democracy.” “We will do what is right: we will receive the accusation, we will analyze the evidence, and whoever must be condemned will be condemned, and whoever must be acquitted will be acquitted.”
