Among the Polish cuisine dishes stuffed cabbage They occupy a special place, well -seasoned meat stuffing and cabbage is a perfect combination for many people. SOS is also an indispensable addition. In this recipe, instead of tomatoes, you will find a cream alternative. Stuffed cabbage rolls in cream sauce This is a German variety of classic and adored by all dishes that will certainly taste the whole family.

You will need:

  • 1 average white cabbage,
  • 500 g of minced pork meat,
  • 500 g of minced beef meat,
  • 500 ml of beef broth,
  • 300 ml of water,
  • 2 eggs,
  • 1 Kajzerka,
  • 2 tablespoons of mustard,
  • 2 tablespoons of mayonnaise,
  • ½ teaspoon of black pepper.

Ingredients for sauce:

  • 500 ml of cream 12 percent,
  • 50 g of butter,
  • 50 g of flour.

Additionally:

  • Oil for lubrication and frying.

Prepare stuffed cabbage. Bry three layers of leaves from the cabbage and throw them away. Gently peel the next 10 leaves from the cabbage and put them in a large pot. If it is impossible to break the leaves without damage, put the whole head of the cabbage in the pot. Pour it with water and cook for about 15 minutes, then gently tear off. In the case of the leaves themselves, blanch them for 2 minutes.

Dry the leaves and cut off the hard core. Put the kajzer in a bowl and pour it with water. Set aside it for a few minutes, then squeeze the water from it and put it to the main bowl into the stuffing.

Add both types of meat, mustard, mayonnaise, salt and pepper to the bowl. Mix the whole until a uniform consistency. Take one leaf. Apply on it a handful of mixture, on the bottom of the leaf, close to the cut core.

Fold the sides of the leaf inwards, and then rolle the whole, forming stuffed cabbage. Fry them briefly in a pan, in hot oil, only to brown the leaves. Put the stuffed cabbage into the heat -resistant vessel smeared with oil. Cover the whole and put in the oven preheated to 180 degrees Celsius for 45 minutes.

Prepare the sauce. Melt butter in a saucepan and add flour. Mix the whole with a whisk and fry until the flour begins to blush. Pour the cream and mix vigorously for a minute or two. At this time, the sauce should thicken. Pour the stuffed cabbage and put in the oven, uncovered, for another 10-15 minutes.
