Sure, glass is a great raw material. Indeed, our ancestors knew this in the 17th century, when the glass industry was growing massively. And the original windows – composed of small slides connected by lead strips – were replaced by glass boards. Their great benefit was a wonderful view, but also enough light to the rooms, which was acknowledged by all residents of houses. “Such beautiful,” our ancestors cheered. But as is the case, each coin has two sides. And this applies to IO glass.
In the video you will find a few proven tips that will make cleaning easier.
I on the window is dusting
Glass is fragile… just a small tap and spills into a thousand pieces. Although it is a hard and smooth material, dust and grease stick to it. “Although it is not as bad as in leeky materials such as wood or textiles – but it is necessary to count on it,” says the expert. Our ancestors used a mixture of water and vinegar to wash the windows. By the way, this method is still popular in environmental homes.

Almost better than chemistry
Nowadays there are thousands of products on the dirt window. Most of them contain either alcohol, anion surfactants or ammonia. These “laboratory cleaners” perfectly dissolve dust and grease not only on glass but also on window frames. But if you do not want to use chemistry for some reason, we have a great tip for washing windows – Glycerin! You can get this sticky cloth in any drugstore for a few tens of crowns. And believe that you will save your work and time when washing windows.
Glycerin solution
The application of glycerin is easy: add a few drops of dishes (or fine soaps) and ½ teaspoon of glycerine to 1 liter of lukewarm water. Mix the mixture and pour into a sprayer. Spray the finished solution straight on the windows and clean them properly. Download the excess water with a spatula and lower with a microfiber cloth. “Glycerin has several advantages,” says cleaning expert and continues: First, she dissolves dust and grease. Second: it supports the gloss of windows without smudges. And thirdly? It creates a special film on the windows that will also prevent their pollution for at least time. ”
The ideal solution for the winter
According to the expert, Glycerin is ideal for year -round window washing. But you will appreciate it mainly in winter, when the weather tends to be fogged or frozen. Glycerin dampens both these processes and maintains the surface of the glass as dry and without unnecessary deposits.
