Deputies of the Legislative Assembly of filed a popular action asking the governor (PSB) to be ordered to reimburse the state purse by $ 1 million for justifying a trip to “using agendas that did not demand their presence.”
The action also brings as defendants three other public servants, as well as a tourism agency and the state of Maranhão.
Parliamentarians say the governor confirmed a presence in an agenda of the World Animal Health Organization for authorities of the State Agricultural Defense Agency. The event took place from May 25-29 in Paris.
Brandão informed the Assembly that he would be absent from the country from May 30 to June 7. According to the deputies, the period of the trip included June 2, his birthday.
The action calls for the restitution of all the daily values granted to Brandão and the servers.
