In Spain, cases of labor conflicts in the restoration sector have often been reported on social networks. One of these situations, involving a maid and the owner of an establishment, is generating controversy in the neighboring country. According to the digital newspaper HuffPost, the worker reported to the boss that she had received a medical low, but was eventually surprised by the termination of the contract.
Start of messaging
The case was released on social network X by Soy Camarero Account, known for sharing situations related to the restoration sector in Spain. In the publication it is possible to read the WhatsApp messaging between the employee and the guardian where he worked.
The worker begins by explaining that she woke up with severe pain and difficulty moving. “I woke up with a swelling at the back of my back and intense pain, I can’t get out of bed. They’re taking me to the doctor. I warn you because I don’t know what they will tell me, I can’t move,” he wrote.
A few hours later, the employer said he had bad news. Two days later, on 14 August, he added that 15 days of low medical was assigned to him. “On Tuesday I have consultation with the surgeon. I am sorry, I can hardly walk,” he explained, quoted by the same source.

The Shock of Contract Termination
After this message, the employee received an unexpected warning from Spanish Social Security. In this statement, it was informed that the contract had been terminated with effect from August 13, that is, the day before. Surprised, the worker has written again to the boss, “Do you do so? Because you are sick? Will you operate and decide to terminate the contract? You are telling me that it is for this number that I have to ask for information about my downtown and the contract, yesterday, without notice. I would like to receive the relevant information.”
The answer you received was short: “Hello, as we informed you by phone, you have your documentation prepared to get up at the establishment. It says when we suck you and combine the time, thanks.”
Reaction on social networks
According to the digital newspaper, the same account was also published the capture of the message sent by Social Security, where it is confirmed that the low of the contract was processed on 13 August.
The situation quickly became viral on social network X, accumulating over 600,000 views and about 9,000 tastes. Many users criticized the employer’s decision and expressed outrage at how the employee was informed of termination.
