Senator Renan Calheiros (MDB-AL) criticized the government for the absence of ministers in a session of the Joint Commission that analyzes the alternative provisional measure to the increase in IOF. The emedebista, who is the chairman of the commission, complained about the fact that no minister has confirmed presence at the meeting, which is the first public hearing of the collegiate with deputies and senators.
In conversation with Deputy Carlos Zarattini (PT-SP), who is the rapporteur of the MP, the senator said he would not chair a session in which only members of the “range” of ministries would participate.
The imbroglio happens on the same day the government suffered a defeat by the INSS’s mixed parliamentary parliamentary committee (CPMI). The base of the Planalto Palace was unable to confirm an agreement with the Congress summit for the Chaves CPI Posts and Senator Carlos Viana (Somos-MG) and Deputy Alfredo Gaspar (União-AL) were elected president and rapporteur. Both are opposed.
Renan was chosen as a CPI member, but was absent at the session that chose the positions. The senator also complained that no one of the government sought him to discuss the text of the MP.

Faced with Renan’s resistance, the session began without him registered presence and Zarattini took the place at the table to conduct the public hearing.
The MP was sent by the government to improve the fiscal staff. It increases taxation on fintechs, bets and a series of financial investments that are now exempt from taxes, such as the agribusiness letter of credit (LCA) and real estate credit (LCI), which faces resistance.
