Until the night of Tuesday (19), it was agreed between leaders and presidents of the House and Senate that Senator Omar Aziz (PSD-AM) and Deputy Ricardo Ayres (Republicans-TO) would, respectively, president and senator of the INSS’s mixed parliamentary committee. But to the surprise of many in the installation of the commission, he was elected today as president Senator Carlos Viana (Somos –MG) and indicated the deputy Alberto Gaspar (Union-AL) as rapporteur.
The surprise is due to the fact that the elections of the commissions only ratify the agreed names. But on the morning of Wednesday (20) a turnaround surprised who accompanied the opening of the work.
The articulation was made last night by Deputy Sostenes Cavalcante (PL-RJ). “Yesterday, I met with the deputies team in the leading PL to analyze what their work would look like. Initially, I was very discouraged, because I knew that CPMI, when president and rapporteur who had not even signed to exist, would be co -opted by the government,” he explained.

The PL leader also said that during the meeting, he analyzed the possibility of launching his own candidacy and combined the strategy with Senator Carlos Viana and the opposition leader in the Senate Rogério Marinho (PL-RN). “We talked to some presidents of parties, we made the articulation and got the victory. I think the victory is not only opposition, it is from Brazil because CPMI is not an opposition instrument. What we want is that those who stole retirees in Brazil go to jail to pay for their crimes,” he added.
