An operation of the Tactical Steel Tactical Group of the Acre Military Police Special Operations Battalion (BOPE) resulted in the arrest of a 30-year-old man and the seizure of more than 5 kg of narcotics in Rio Branco on Tuesday night (19). The suspect was identified as Alisson Alencar de Azevedo.

According to the PM, the team patrolled the Pedro Roseno neighborhood after an anonymous denunciation of residents about suspicious movement in the community square. The place, frequented by families and children, was being complained for alleged criminal activity.
During the action, the suspect tried to escape by noting the police presence, but was intercepted. In a backpack of application delivery that the suspect carried, approximately 5.1 kg of marijuana -like substance were found. A cell phone, a balaclava and the motorcycle used were also seized.

The man was arrested in the act for drug trafficking and was taken to the Flagrant Central Police Station (Defla), where he remains at the disposal of justice.
