Compliments and self -completion in war times
“He is a war hero because we work together. He is a war hero. I think I am too.” In the eyes of Donald Trump, both he and Netanyahu are deserving of this epic adjectivation-these are statements made Tuesday in an interview with a program by Trump’s supporter Mark Levin.
The US president has not spared himself to self -eloys and compliments to others, being someone else in this case Netanyahu, the target of a warrant captured by the International Criminal Court (ICC) since November for alleged war crimes in Gaza.
Netanyahu is considered a “war hero” and is still described by Trump as a “good man.” These compliments are motivated, according to Trump, for the attacks Netanyahu ordered against the nuclear facilities of Iran.
It was in June that the Israeli government ordered the Armed Forces to attack the nuclear facilities in Natanz and Isfahan to eliminate the “existential threat” of an Iranian nuclear program.
