Five days after participating in a dinner with, the governor (Republicans) met with businessman da Silva Santos, father of striker Neymar, and singers Wesley Safadão and Felipe Araújo at an evangelical event in Barueri, Greater, on Monday night (18).
The event was promoted by the Lagoinha de Alphaville Baptist Church, led by Pastor André Fernandes, and is part of a cycle of lectures on entrepreneurship for the faithful. Despite not being treated by the organization as a cult, the lecture had moments of praise and was charged with religious references.
Tarcisio met the father of Neymar, Safadão and Araújo after having done one. With the businessman, the governor exchanged brief greetings, since Neymar father wanted to avoid the spotlight and left the event shortly after the end of the lecture – dois days before, Santos, team of his son and on which he has a lot of influence, in the Brazilian Championship.
Already the two singers were with the governor at a dinner offered by André Fernandes to Tarcisio, shortly after the lecture, in which they talked about religion and made of the governor in the state, almost a repeat of what was presented at the event.
The governor has the agricultural and financial sectors in the two weeks following the house arrest of the former president () and in a context in which he is considered presidential from the right to 2026.
Last week, he was at Latino’s house with names such as Flávio Rocha, from Riachuelo, and on Saturday at a lunch promoted by Alexandre Bettamio, from Bank of America.
At the Lagoinha event, this Monday, the governor adopted a tone of electoral speech and cited works and deliveries that the government will do until next year. Publicly, he claims to be a candidate for reelection in the state.
Tarcisio cited more than ten biblical passages, all chosen by him, according to his assistants, to illustrate distinct moments of his history. He focused the lecture around the belief that things “are not impossible for God.”
From Abraham’s faithfulness in Genesis to the trials of Moses in Exodus, the governor reaffirmed that belief and obedience in God are the main pillars of his life. He also cited the parable of the unfaithful butler, present in the gospel of Lucas, which uses as a reference to talk about corrupt administrations and was part of his campaign speeches in 2022 to attack the PT.
Tarcísio was accompanied by two of his secretaries-government, Gilberto Kassab (PSD), and Public Security, Guilherme Derrite (PP)-, first lady Cristiane Freitas, and other paintings such as the mayors of Osasco, Gerson Pessoa (Somos), and Cajamar, Kauan Berto (PSD). Also present at the event was Maxwell Fernandes, nominated by Minister André Mendonça (Supreme Court).
Son of a Catholic mother and a father, the governor grew up in the midst of both religions and is seen by allies with wide resourcefulness in services and masses.
The governor also took advantage of the event to praise Bolsonaro, saying he was grateful to him for betting on his candidacy in Sao Paulo, and without mentioning the former president said that “today’s humiliation will be tomorrow’s justice.”
After the lecture, Tarcísio also answered some questions about economics by André Fernandes, who questioned him about investment opportunities and tariff. Just as he did hours earlier at an investor event, the governor said Brazil to the president of ,.
The event ended around 11 pm, when Tarcisio’s dinner began with the other guests. Singer Wesley Safadão, although not mentioned the night, said in Instagram stories that he went to sleep between 3h and 4am. “I woke up focused, but I woke up late,” joked on the social network.
