Were part of the panel:

Alloha Fibra’s director of institutional relations stated that measures to combat unfair competition are important and make the sector safer, but it is necessary to have parcimony and some tolerance with certain cases of clandestinity.

He stated that there are companies that are in the situation for lack of resources to adapt to Anatel’s requirements or do not have enough technical knowledge.

“Maybe not every company that is in the clandestinity do this in bad faith. We have to know how to separate these things. Sometimes the company wants to do the rule and just have no conditions or knowledge to do it. We need to know how to accommodate it.”said Leandro Salatti.

Anatel’s superintendent of inspection said it, but said it was necessary to understand “Random case” to prevent regions that depend exclusively on these companies to be left out of service.

Anatel’s plan has as its main objective to combat unfair competition in the fixed broadband sector, ensuring that all operators comply with the agency’s rules.

Among the measures are the most rigorous inspection of irregular companies, the regularization of clandestine providers and the establishment of clear criteria for the implementation of new regulations.

For Anatel, strengthening supervision and regularization should benefit consumers, with more quality service, greater transparency and reduction of irregular practices, such as abusive prices and low reliability services.
