Forest fires have devastated the European Commission. Of these, about 350,000 have burned since August 7. Currently, there are 21 active spotlights with a high level of danger (IGR 2) in Galicia, Castilla y León, Extremadura and Asturias. The most virulent are registered in Galicia, where Larouco (Ourense) fire has razed more than 45,000 hectares since August 13, according to the estimates of the European Forest Fire Information System (EFFIS), and in Castilla y León, where 30,000 hectares have burned, according to Effis calculations, in flames of Cabrera, in the Bierzo region.
These are the fires that remain active in Spanish territory:
Galicia
Chandrexa de Queixa (Ourense). The fire began on Friday 8 in the chest parish. To this focus one that began on Tuesday 12 in the parish of Parafita and another declared on Thursday 14 in Mormente’s. Castilla y León
Gestoso (León). The focus of Gestoso, at the end of León, was declared on August 16 and, according to Effis, has already burned almost 45,000 hectares, although the Board indicates that it is in perimetration.
Llamas de Cabrera (León). The Junta de Castilla y León investigates the beginning of this fire, declared 12 days ago in the region of Bierzo and that, according to Effis, has already razed more than 30,000 hectares. According to the technical director of the fire extinction, 90% of the perimeter is stabilized and the situation is favorable. In the fight against this fire, a firefighter died on Monday after overturning the pumping pump.
Barniedo de la Reina (León). The focus of Barniedo de la Reina is one of those who especially concern civil protection. Porto (Zamora). The focus of Porto, in the Sanabria region, is also one of those who concern the authorities. Fasgar (León). The Fasgar fire, initiated on August 8, has burned just over 3,500 hectares, according to estimates of the European Forest Fire Information System (EFFIS), since the Government of Castilla y León does not provide concrete data on burned surface. The probable cause of fire, according to the Board, is the fall of lightning.
Anllares del Sil (León). The Focus of Anllares del Sil has burned 7,200 hectares, according to EFFIS estimates, and the Board still investigates the causes for which it was declared. This fire, initiated on August 8, extended to Degaña, in Asturias, where it is also considered level 2 of danger index.
Cardaño de Arriba (Palencia). The fire of Barniedo de la Reina entered on August 16 in the municipality of Cardaño de Arriba and since then threatens the northwest zone of the Palencia mountain.
Estremadura
Jarilla (Cáceres). The Jarilla fire has exceeded the 15,000 hectares burned and has two active fronts: one in the north direction that has entered the province of Salamanca and another in Northwest direction in the Jerte and Tornavacas direction. Asturias
Genestoso (Somiedo). In the genestoso fire, from Orallo, in León, it is in the perimetration phase. According to the Asturian emergency service, air media requires attention because scattered spotlights are located and firefighters from Andorra work in its extinction.

Degaña The fire of Degaña, from the focus of Anllares del Sil (León), is the one that most worries the authorities of the Principality and the one that concentrates the greatest provision of terrestrial and aerial media.
