The São Paulo Legislative Assembly promotes on Monday (25) a seminar on the impact of tariff imposed by the Government of Brazil with the presence of representatives of governments and (Republicans), BNDES and impacted sectors such as CECAFO, CITRUSBR, ABIMAQ (Machine Industry Association) and Brazilian Aluminum Association.
The seminar’s initiative came from state deputy Paulo Fiorilo (PT), who chairs the Alesp International Relations Commission. The event, with the theme “Global tariffs and uncertainties: challenges for the Brazilian and Paulista economies”, will be on Monday (25) at 15h, in a hybrid format.
The deputy states that, according to studies, the cities of São Paulo are among the most affected in the country. “It is essential that parliament will be involved in this debate, including to propose legislative initiatives that can mitigate the effects of Trump’s tariff in the state of,” says Fiorilo.
“We need to protect the economy, the affected productive chains and the interests of the population of São Paulo,” adds the deputy.
