Meeting between Governors and right -wing leaders occurred a day before the indictment of Jair Bolsonaro and Eduardo
The governor of São Paulo, gave a favorable speech to the former president to dinner last Tuesday (19). According to interlocutors, the chief executive of São Paulo spoke in injustice against the political godfather and defended the amnesty. Tarcísio’s speech occurred a day before after messages from the former president’s son, to surface in the midst of an investigation by the Federal Police.
Eduardo even said that Tarcisio “never helped Bolsonaro at all” concerning the Federal Supreme Court (), that the governor wanted to “pose as
Savior of the homeland ”and was“ warming up to 2026 ”, among other things.
Amnesty, in general, was one of the main themes of the meeting, according to people present. The event, which took place in Brasilia after the Federation of Com Officialization, took place at the house of the president of União, Antonio Rueda, and brought together leaders of parties such as, in addition to nine right -wing governors and other allied authorities.
On Wednesday (20), the governor of Goiás, said that one of the results of dinner was precisely a definition about amnesty. According to him, any right name, winning a second round in 2026, would promote forgiveness to those involved on January 8, 2023.
Governors soften
Even before the messages surfaced, at least, the order among the right governors was to soften criticism of them made by the former president’s children. Recently, Carlos Bolsonaro called the group “rats”, for example, and accused them of “surfing the wave of pockets.” The publication was shared by Eduardo, who had already made several direct attacks on Tarcisio, too.
Caiado and, governor of Minas Gerais, have already come to public saying that Bolsonaro family goes through a “difficult and delicate” moment, that they are not considering speech like this and that they understand the difficulties – and the idea was that all others would keep the same speech on the subject.
