Pioneer initiative is taking place in the nascent park. Part of the “Health -in” program offers protector with the entries.
The initiative is called “Health in Day”, is promoted in partnership with the Portuguese League against cancer, and brings a novelty in Portugal: Free sunscreen in a shopping center.
The offer, which happens for the first time in the country, is taking place Rising Park: The space in Gondomar is the first shopping center in Portugal to provide sunscreen dispensers SPF50 for all your visitors.
Free dispensers are installed at the business center entrances and will be until the end of summer.
The priority of this offer is to reinforce the message that Sun exposure does not only happen on the beach or during the holidays: When walking on the street, waiting for transport or having lunch on a terrace, the skin is also exhibited to ultraviolet radiation.
“We want sun protection to cease to be an occasional act and become a daily reflection. Protecting the skin whenever we are outdoors is essential, especially in a period of the year when we face high temperatures and greater sun exposure. With this initiative, we show that prevention is for everyone and that it should be present in any day-to-day activity, ”explains Joana Rocha, director of Parque Nascente, in a statement sent to Zap.
The “Health In Day” initiative has been promoting free workshops for prevention and early diagnosis of skin cancer, visual and cardiovascular tracks and nutrition sessions with healthy and refreshing snack suggestions.
O melanoma – The most severe form of skin cancer – records more than 1,200 new cases per year in Portugal. When the diagnosis is made at an early stage, healing rates exceed 95%.
Using sunscreen and watching signs on the skin are the most effective measures to reduce the risk of being cancer in the skin.
