The former minister and federal deputy Danilo Forte (União-CE) exchanged reminiscences from the times of youth, almost 50 years ago, when they bump into the formalization event of the Federation of and PP, last Tuesday (19).
In the late 1970s, they were on opposite sides in the process of reconstruction of UNE (National Students Union). Ciro was the majority plate, identified with the right, and strong, of the turn, linked to the B PC, which ended up being victorious.
Over the years, the two exchanged sides, with strong going to a center right and Ciro, to the left.
Ciro told the former rival that both finally met in politics. “You came from the left to the center and I, from the right to the center. We meet here in União Brasil,” he said.
The former minister is considering leaving the PDT and joining União Brasil to dispute the government of Ceará in 2026.
