In PF audio, Pastor said meeting caused setback between Eduardo and Tarcisio, but was suggested by Bolsonaro
Pastor Silas Malafaia said in audio obtained by (Federal Police) that was former President Jair Bolsonaro (PL) who “sent” the governor of Sao Paulo, Tarcisio de Freitas (PL), negotiating at the American embassy on 50% tariffs imposed by Donald Trump to Brazil.
The revelation contradicts the public discourse of the CLā Bolsonarist, which later criticized the initiative of the Paulista Governor.
The content was released on Wednesday (20.ago.2025) when police indicated Bolsonaro, Malafaia and Eduardo for coercion in the investigation into the attempted coup d’état.
“President, you sorry, you could even defend Tarcisio. Because you sent Tarcisio at the embassy and talk to Gilmar. Now, you burn your boy?said Malafaia.
The pastor argued that Bolsonaro should protect Tarcisio, but mainly asked not to attack Eduardo, his son.
“You hitting your son who is doing work with authorities, talking to Donald Trump’s main advisors, managing to produce it all that Trump is doing, then you missed it, but made ugly.”criticized Malafaia.

The audio was obtained in the context of Federal Police investigations that resulted in the indictment of Bolsonaro, Eduardo Bolsonaro and Malafaia himself by coercion in the course of the process.
The PF concluded that the group has committed conduct to interfere with the criminal action that investigates the attempted coup of 2022.
According to the police report, Malafaia participated in coordinated actions to coerce authorities of the judiciary and the legislature. The pastor would have assisted Bolsonaro to breach precautionary measures and guided pressure strategies against STF ministers.
The case will now follow for analysis by the PGR (Attorney General of the Republic), which will decide to be reported against the investigated or requests the filing of the process.
