This year’s edition of Ocean Race passed Matosinhos and the team of Portuguese sailor Mariana Lobato arrived in second position.
It is the only Portuguese in competition. Mariana Lobato is part of a French team that entered Matosinhos in second place, 23 minutes from the first classified.
In Matosinhos, the race took a short three -hour break in the second stage, which connects Portsmouth to Cartagena.
The race began in Germany on August 10, crosses the Atlantic and the Mediterranean, and ends in Montenegro between September 15 and 21.
This is the second time that it stops in Portugal. This time Matosinhos in 2021 stopped in Cascais.
