The modality is being implemented by the governor (Republicans) on state highways.
Among the problems cited are the fact that the implementation was done by decrees, without broad debate and with emptied public hearings.
They also mention the sight of information and signaling, risk of multiple charges in short paths and within urban areas, damage to vulnerable groups and improper charges for fraud on plates.
“Although Free Flow represents technological advancement with potential benefits, its implementation in São Paulo by infralegal decrees, without broad debate, with emptied public hearings, spraying portica and disabled communication has produced concrete damage to the citizen, risk of logistics and cost disproportionate to the user, which requires urgent review of the model,” says the action of parliamentarians.
Among the requests made to the MP are information on the amount of location of the toll collection portals, audit and correction of charges, conducting educational campaigns and eventual investigation of responsibilities of the concessionaires.
