Train journeys in Europe are up to 26 times more expensive than flights

A new Europe-wide Greenpeace analysis of 142 travel routes shows massive price differences between rail and flight tickets. On most cross -border routes, the aircraft is still cheaper than train journeys, although train travel is much more climate -friendly alternative.
