Federal Deputy says that, by Alexandre de Moraes and the STF do not have “courage” to investigate the Trump government, they are going after him
The federal deputy (PL-SP) published this Thursday (21.ago.2025) a video in which he says he does not deserve to be accused of attempted abolition of the Democratic Rule of Law for accusing Minister Alexandre de Moraes, of the Supreme Court (Supreme Court) of “Human Rights Violations”. The congressman has been in the United States since February 27.
“My country is no longer a safe place to be. Even to express itself. What is happening now in Brazil is that the Federal Police task force under the control of Alexandre de Moraes is formally accusing me of violent abolition of the Democratic Rule of Law, which means I can be arrested for over 12 years.”says Eduardo in a video published on X (former Twitter).
The congressman stated that, “How they don’t have the courage” to put US President Donald Trump (Republican Party), Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, are going “back” dele. “But I already told them that I won’t stop. I will continue to denounce their violation of human rights. And why? Because I want to increase the pressure against these human rights violations.”declared Eduardo.

The PF reported on Wednesday (20.ago) that indicated Eduardo and his father, the former president (PL), for coercion in the course of the process in the investigation of the attempted coup, in which Bolsonaro is the main defendant. Read the PF report (PDF – 9 MB).
The indictment occurs in the inquiry that investigates Eduardo’s performance in the United States, where he would have articulated pressure measures and sanctions against Brazilian authorities. The 170 -page document shows conversations between Eduardo and Jair Bolsonaro.
The investigation was opened in May by determination of Moraes. The PF final report concludes that the 2, with the support of journalist Paulo Figueiredo and Pastor Silas Malafaia, acted to interfere with the process in which the former president is accused of trying to give a coup after losing the 2022 elections to (PT).
According to the PF, the actions of Eduardo and the other investigated are directly targeted by democratic institutions, especially the STF and the National Congress, to submit them to personal interests. The report details that the group sought to coerce members of the judiciary and, more recently, the House and Senate, aiming to influence decisions for its own benefit.
At one point of the report, PF maintains that Bolsonaro shared via WhatsApp videos about US sanctions against Brazil, in addition to “Disclosure and promotion of events”. As it was forbidden to use networks, even indirectly, the former president may have violated the restrictions imposed by Moraes. The investigators also found in the device used by the politician a draft asylum request to Argentina, indicating a possible escape from the country.
