From September 3 to 7, the village of Estoi, in the municipality of Faro, is the stage of the XVII Edition of the Horse – Confest edition, organized by the Local Equestrian Brotherhood. The event promises four intense days of celebration of equestrian culture, coupled with Portuguese popular music, gastronomy and shows for all ages.
The enclosure opens daily at 19:00 (on Saturday and Sunday from 09:00 and 10:00, respectively), with dinners and snacks to accompany the cultural and sports program.
The event starts on September 3 with the traditional village animated by David Brito, extending even at dawn. The next day, September 4, the program includes a demonstration of canine sports practices and the performance of José Malhoa, one of the poster heads of this edition.
On September 5, the highlight goes to the Faro Folkloric Group and the equestrian varieties starring Lusitanus Miranda Equestrian Art, finishing the night to the sound of Augusto Canary & Friends.
Saturday, September 6, will be one of the most complete days, with the start of the VIII Dressage Regional Cup, a demonstration of urban dances by the Urban XPRESSION group, the equestrian parade “Streets of Our Aldeia” and, at night, shows by Ana Marques, the band Vítor Fonseca & Beto and the Equestrian gala with Miguel Fonseca.
The event ends on September 7 with various activities during the day, including an obstacle test and a demonstration of karate, followed by the performance of the Ethnographic Group of Quelfes Rancho dos Velhos. At night, the camp has Emanuel & Tânia, ending with the concert of Lucas & Mateus Jr.
