The Ministry of Family, Labor and Social Policy of Poland recorded recruitment in the first week to the pilot program of shortening working time with the maintenance of the application from 150 entities, which described as a great interest. Another 694 applications are currently elaborated in the system. Entry to the pilot program can apply by 15 September. According to the Ministry, Warsaw Newsletter TASR informs about it.
The resort said that The program is open for micro, small and medium -sized enterprises, as well as for large companies and public institutions. The aim is to test the functioning of different models of shorter working time in different organizational conditions. Labor Minister Agnieszka Dziemianowicz-Bak stated that the previous interest confirms the preparedness of employers to take advantage of the opportunity to test shorter working time while maintaining wages.
The financing of the pilot will be provided from the Labor Fund reserve. The funds can be used exclusively for changes in organizational and technological processes, training of workers or co -financing their wages during the program participation.
The total budget for 2025 to 2027 is 50 million PLN (EUR 11.76 million). In 2025, 10 million zloty (2.35 million euros) is earmarked. The maximum amount of support for one project is set at 1 million PLN, while the amount of 20,000 PLN must not exceed one employee.
The condition of participation is the involvement of at least half of the employees of the company, maintaining wages and security of employment. Organizations can choose a model of a four -day working week, shorter working days, extended holidays or a flexible start of work. The program will be implemented in three stages – preparatory until the end of 2025, testing during 2026 and evaluation, which will end in May 2027. The list of selected projects is to be published by 15 October 2025.
