The Agency Reuters revealed this Thursday to end the war in Ukraine. According to three sources close to Kremlin’s leadership thinking, the Russian president wants Ukraine to assign the entire eastern region of the Donbass, to abandon the goal of joining the NATO and ensures that it will not allow the presence of western troops in its territory.
But will a peace solution be possible without Ukraine capitulating? The commentator of SIC, Maria João Tomásconsiders a scenario in which Ukraine does not have to make any assignments to Russia.
“As much as we don’t want, it will also affect us. Because there are other interests at stake, and giving in for fear or appeasing Russia is not a good strategy,” he says.
