João Fonseca met the opponent of the premiere
João Fonseca is now preparing to play the US Open “for real”. The Brazilian, current number 44 of the ATP ranking, has training marked with German Alexander Zverev (3rd), this Friday (22).
The debut at the Grand Slam will be against Serbian Momir Kecmanović, number 45 of the ranking, still being defined by the organization.
It will be Fonseca’s fourth experience in a Grand Slam. Fonseca, youth champion of US Open in 2023, now tries to write its history among professionals.
The New York tournament starts next Monday (25), bringing together the main names of the circuit, such as Novak Djokovic, Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner.
