The leader of the Workers Party in the House of Representatives, Deputy Lindbergh Farias (PT-RJ), asked the Federal Supreme Court (STF) the custody of former President Jair Bolsonaro (PL). The request was filed in a criminal case that Bolsonaro is responsible for attempted coup – he will be tried from September 2.

Lindbergh argues that Bolsonaro must have pre -trial detention decreed to “the guarantee of public and economic order and the application of criminal law,” he argues in the request.
