The Federal Supreme Court (STF) Minister Flávio Dino said on Friday that sanctions that today affect a court minister may be promoted against Brazilian companies for protectionism, arguing that a country that values its constitution cannot accept external “strength measures”.
“A country that values its constitution cannot accept strength measures that threaten its citizens, citizens and companies,” Dino said in an interview with reporters in Salvador, who had audio released by the STF’s advisory.
“Today, the sanction or sanctions can go against a minister or politician. Tomorrow, these sanctions, not only from a country, but from others, can drive against any Brazilian company, for example, for protectionism,” he said, upon arrival of the 3rd International External Control Seminar.

Dino’s statements were made after he determined on Monday that related to acts that were performed in Brazil.
